Apple’s next generation operating systems, for both mobile devices and PCs, have a strong focus on improving bugs and stability, reports 9to5Mac. We have heard this news about IOS before, but it seems that this will be a smoothing year (but with new features, too). The more interesting news to share is that Apple is working on improving IOS support for older devices-including those which are not on sale anymore. According to 9to5Mac report, IOS 9 will offer a new optimization method in order to better support older hardware, including the iPad mini and the iPhone 4S. Apple offers IOS compatibility to older devices to current shipping model, but in the past Apple had not taken any step of making OS updates too friendly for older iPhones and iPads. Apple is focusing specifically on performance efficiency for older gadgets running IOS 9, with a smart core app and then also added features as they move, and not affecting the quality of overall OS user experience. Apple is focusing on this kind of optimization signals which highlights its strong desire to support its ecosystem, and to reward long time users. Older devices are in use in secondary markets and in emerging markets as Apple officially ended support. It does not indicate that developers will need to focus on different hardware targets as it concerns screen size support and capabilities- but it may help Apple to diversify its pool of potential customers for its new rumored streaming service. We will find out on June 8 when Apple will reveal first official details about IOS 9 at WWDC keynote.
